Terms of use
Last updated October 15, 2026
These are the terms for using Garden Plotter, on this website and in the iPhone app. We've kept them short and plain. By using Garden Plotter, you agree to them.
Using Garden Plotter
- Garden Plotter is free to use. You don't need an account: your garden is saved on your device until you sign in.
- To sign in, you need an email address that's yours. Keep access to it safe, since anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- Some things have fair limits so the app stays free for everyone, such as how many questions you can ask the garden helper each day and how many people can share one garden.
Your garden is yours
What you put in Garden Plotter (your beds, crops, notes and photos) belongs to you. You let us store it, show it to you on your devices, and show it to the people you share your garden with, so the app can do its job. When you ask the garden helper something, you let us send what it needs to answer, as described in Privacy. Delete it and we stop.
Advice, not a guarantee
Gardening depends on things nobody controls. Frost dates are averages from past years, forecasts can be wrong, and every garden is a little different. Garden Plotter's dates, jobs, plans and warnings are our best guidance, not promises.
The garden helper is an AI. It can be wrong or miss something, even when it sounds sure. Check anything that matters, such as whether a plant, mushroom or fruit is safe to eat, or how to use any product on your garden, with the label, your local extension service or another trusted source. We aren't responsible for lost crops, or for what happens when you follow advice from the app.
Please don't
- use Garden Plotter to break the law, or upload photos or notes you don't have the right to share,
- try to get into other people's accounts or gardens, or into our systems,
- overload the service, or use it to send people unwanted email,
- copy or resell the app or its data.
If someone does, we may stop their account.
Sharing a garden
Only invite people you trust: everyone in a shared garden can see and change its beds, crops, journal and jobs. Whoever started the garden can take people out, and anyone can leave and go back to a garden of their own.
Changes and availability
We're always improving Garden Plotter, so features will change, and sometimes it may be unavailable for a while. We'll try to give notice before taking away something you rely on. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and its date and tell you in the app or by email first.
Ending
You can stop using Garden Plotter whenever you like, and delete your account and everything in it from Settings. See Privacy for what that deletes.
The legal part
Garden Plotter is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law that can't be signed away.
